Going through my previous prints and looking back at my drawings that include mottled salt backgrounds I decided this was something that I should explore through the means of screen print.
Through the use of manutex printing, painting directly onto screen using salt I started to create textured backgrounds.
I also started to experiment with the use of devore into the mottled backgrounds, It was interesting to combine the solid background with areas of that were slightly see through.
I think these prints are a lot more successful than my previous ones, combining prints that have lots of marks with prints that have areas of very little going on.
