Drawing From Lanzarote.

To try and capture the rocks and layers in the volcanic rock, I focused at first on just using colour and then adding small sections of pen to hint at textures in the rocks.

I then began to mainly only focus on the lines from the rocks, I found it interesting how the lines flowed  making the rock have a softer feel about it. 

I brought the colours of active volcanoes back into the lines, as I don't want to focus on the actual colours of the rock, I feel I would be more inspired by brighter colours instead of subtle tones of greys and browns.
