Looking at layers in the rock inspired me to create my own layered formations. I created these by draping fabric in front of a window to create shadow and creases which started to form shapes and lines.
I experimented with tracing on top of the lines created from the draping fabric, which created some really nice abstract drawings. Further to this I layered them upon the ink in water photographs, cutting back into sections to reveal different colours. This is something I could perhaps experiment with later in the project?
